Conclave Atlanta
on Digital Wedding Photojournalism

Denis Reggie's highly regarded educational event for aspiring and working photographers

Denis Reggie wine cellar

Denis Reggie welcomes an intimate group - limited to 10 participants - inside his home as he opens doors, minds - and his wine cellar - for his ultimate educational offering. Whether an aspiring or working wedding photojournalist, Conclave promises two inpirational days and nights that you’ll never forget. Witness his legendary instruction on innovative camera and lighting techniques, real insight into his renowned business philosophy and studio operation... all presented with a backdrop of intimate dinners and fine wines from his private cellar collection. This is the preeminent up-close-and-personal opportunity to learn digital wedding photojournalism -- all with genuine Southern hospitality -- from industry icon Denis Reggie and his longtime staff.

Whether preparing for a first or five-hundreth wedding assignment, the Conclave is an experience sure to super-charge a career and save years of trial-and-error. The information is straight-forward and clearly presented... it's also a great fit for those considering or new to the wedding photography profession.

Participants are invited to shoot along as with Denis as he clearly demonstrates his innovative techniques using Canon EOS 1D Mark II N digital SLR cameras. Denis offers insightful tips and techniques as he details the nuts-and-bolts behind many of his classic and recent photographs. See and hear his secrets for achieving professional quality results and earning top fees. Past students using any major camera brand have been able to easily relate to, and benefit from, the workshop experience, even those new to photography. Though not required, attendees are encouraged to bring along favorite work samples for informal sharing during first day introductions. Wireless internet access is provided at Conclave.

Participants are invited - but not required - to bring their own D-SLR cameras with shoe-mounted flash to try out techniques presented in class during two ideal opportunities: (1) a Conclave outing to a nearby church where Denis will demonstrate group posing and lighting methods, and (2) following the special Tuesday evening dinner at his residence. These are perfect opportunities for students to practice techniques with their own equipment while Denis and staff are available to explain finer points, offer suggestions, and answer any questions.

Fee is $1950 per attendee — $500 non-refundable deposit confirms registration, balance due 7 days prior to event — includes meals served from his kitchen. Conclave begins Monday at 6:00 p.m. with a casual meet-and-greet dinner and ends Wednesday by 5 p.m. -- departing flights from ATL after 6:40 p.m. suggested.

Special rate - approximately $129/night - is available at an excellent, nearby hotel and includes hot breakfast and internet access. Participants should contact hotel directly by web or phone for room reservations. Daily transportation provided between hotel and residence, and for on-location group posing/lighting session at a nearby church.
